Contract with Energy Partners: COMPLEMUS Integrates Photovoltaic Solution in Euskirchen

COMPLEMUS integrates photovoltaic solution into production and logistics project in Euskirchen and signs contract with Energy Partners

  • Photovoltaic system with around 1.8 megawatts peak on new development in the “Am Silberberg” industrial park
  • Direct power supply to tenant MM Flowers
  • 25-year contract with integrated energy provider Energy Partners
  • Another component of the sustainable overall concept

Euskirchen, March 09, 2026 – Investment developer COMPLEMUS Real Estate is expanding its logistics and production project in Euskirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, with a photovoltaic system with a capacity of around 1.8 megawatts peak (MWp) and has signed a contract with the energy equipment company Energy Partners for this purpose. The electricity generated will be supplied directly to the tenant MM Flowers as part of a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The system is part of the building’s sustainable concept, which also includes green roofs, façade greening, heat pump technology, and EV charging infrastructure. In particular, the tenant’s cooling system—which requires the most electricity during the summer months—can therefore be operated autonomously.

In the industrial park “Am Silberberg”, two logistics and production halls with a total floor area of 23,750 square meters are being built on a site of approximately 42,330 square meters by late summer 2026. Of the two halls, one production and logistics facility of around 13,000 square meters, including office space, has been leased to the British flower wholesaler MM Flowers. The second hall, offering around 10,000 square meters of rental space, is currently being marketed. For this space as well, it is planned that around half of the electricity generated on site can be made available to the future tenant through a direct supply model without grid fees.

Pero Matic, Managing Director of COMPLEMUS Real Estate GmbH, says:
“For us, the photovoltaic system is an integral part of the overall concept in Euskirchen. We develop our projects in a way that ensures long-term economic viability while making a measurable contribution to decarbonization. Directly supplying our tenant with electricity generated on site increases planning reliability and strengthens the sustainability profile of the location. We can well imagine implementing further joint projects in the future to achieve additional CO₂ savings.”

Matthias Giller, Managing Director of Energy Partners, says:
“For companies, it is becoming increasingly important to rely on a stable and predictable energy supply independent of volatile energy markets. Projects like this show how regional energy generation, economic efficiency, and collaborative partnerships can be effectively combined. A long-term direct supply not only strengthens cost stability for our customers but also creates additional resilience within the local energy system.”

The option of integrating a battery storage system at a later stage is already being considered in the planning phase to enable additional flexibility. The contractually agreed period of 25 years provides planning security for all parties involved. As the owner, COMPLEMUS will provide the fully greened roof areas, MM Flowers will purchase the electricity generated on site through a direct supply model, and Energy Partners will be responsible for the development and operation of the photovoltaic system.
