Launched three years after the completion of the first construction stage of Rheinpark Carree in 2013, the second construction stage delivered a gross floor area of 5,200 square metres. The building features a generously proportioned roof terrace directly overlooking the Rhine. Remarkable in architectonic terms are the two top floors of the six-storey building: While representing a recessed storey, they protrude over one end of the building envelope at a slant like a giant periscope. Head tenant of the offices, which cover a total floor area of 4,000 square metre, is OQ Chemicals GmbH. The chemicals company relocated with roughly 150 administrative staff from Oberhausen to Monheim in 2016. The construction took ten months to complete.
